What ages does Dawmouse take?
We welcome children from two to five years old, offering a gentle, continuous Montessori journey from toddlerhood right through to the start of primary school.
Where in Fulham are you?
We are based at the Brunswick Club, 34 Haldane Road, Fulham, London SW6 7EU — just a short walk from Fulham Broadway, and easy to reach from Parsons Green and Sands End.
What is a Montessori nursery, and how is it different?
Montessori is a well-established approach that lets children learn through hands-on discovery at their own pace, guided by trained practitioners in a carefully prepared environment. Rather than moving a whole group through the same lesson, we follow each child individually — which is why Montessori children tend to become so independent and genuinely love learning.
Do you offer government funded hours?
Yes. We welcome government funded early-education hours for eligible children, and we will happily guide you through checking your entitlement and completing the paperwork.
What are your opening times?
We run morning and full-day sessions during term time, Monday to Friday. Get in touch and we will talk through the pattern of days that would suit your family best.
Is Dawmouse Ofsted registered?
Yes — we are a registered and inspected early-years provider, and we hold a five-star rating across our Google reviews from local families.
How do I apply for a place?
Simply get in touch or book a visit, come and see the setting, and when you are happy we will help you complete a short registration form. Because we are small, places are limited, so we recommend enquiring early.
How will my child settle in?
Very gently. We arrange settling sessions and ease every child in at their own pace, so those first days feel calm and reassuring for both children and parents.
What will my child do each day?
A blend of focused Montessori work and free play, indoor discovery and daily outdoor time, plus enrichment such as football with Coach Patsy — all within a warm, familiar routine.
