Welcome to Dawmouse Montessori – one of Fulham’s favourite Montessori nursery schools for children aged 2 to 5.
Founded in 1975 on Dawes Road, a few blocks away (and where the name originates), Dawmouse has a legacy to be proud of, providing the highest standards of Montessori Early Years education to children of all abilities and disabilities for over five decades.
With an experienced team and spacious facilities, Dawmouse Montessori continues today to offer a safe and nurturing environment where children can truly explore, discover and thrive.
Location
Dawmouse Montessori is located in the Brunswick Club on 34 Haldane Road. The main entrance can be found at the big blue gates around the corner, on St Thomas’ Way.
The nursery school is a five minute walk from Fulham Broadway, ten minute walk from Parsons Green and West Brompton, and a 15 minute drive from Hammersmith.
Daily life at Dawmouse
Daily life at Dawmouse Montessori Nursery follows a gentle rhythm. Each day is structured around two sessions. The morning session is from 8:30 to 13:00 which includes lunch. Though optional, most children stay on for the afternoon session from 13:00 to 15:30. There is the option of flexible drop off from 8:30, and flexible pick up in the afternoon.
Each day at Dawmouse Montessori has a different focus but the same rhythm. A typical week includes the following:
• Monday: Letter of the week, show-and-share and phonics activities
• Tuesday: Music lesson with Mr A from Music House for Children
• Wednesday: Topic-related creative art project
• Thursday: Sports with Coach Patsy held in the sport field or gym
• Friday: French lesson with Miss Réjane
